Dal Khichudi
Delicious odiya style khichudi....
Steps

1 bowl yellow moong dal. Heat cooker then add moong dal fry till it is light brown in color... Then transfer to a bowl.....wash it once. Then drain the water and keep a side....

In the same cooker add ghee.then add 2 bay leaf, 1 green cardamom, 1 black cardamom, 2 to 4 whole black pepper, few cashew nuts, panchphoron and 1 green chilli saute it for few minutes.then add the vegetables fry for 2 minutes...

Take 1/2 bowl rice.basmati or normal rice.wash it well drain it and keep aside.Now add rice and dal....mix.it well..Add haldi powder, cumin powder, 1" grated ginger, red chilli powder and salt....Fry for 2 minutes.Measured in a glass of water and add it to khichidi...

Close the lid and wait for 3 whistles. After 3 whistles switch off the induction..Cool it and open the lid..If it is done then check it... Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Transfer to a serving plate...

Serve hot......khicidi with labra / mixed vegetables.curry
