
Shepards pie fit for a king

Cooking Instructions

Saute onions in 1 tbsp olive oil

When onions have softened, add ground beef and break up in the pan. Add garlic once beef is mostly cooked

Once beef is browned, mix in tomato paste until completely incorporated

Add flour and mix in, cooking for a few minutes
- 5
Add wine and cook for several minutes

Add broth and Worcestershire and carrots

Simmer on low until it’s reached the desired thickness

While stew simmers, add your peeled and diced potatoes to salted, boiling water and cook until fork tender. The time will depend on the size of your potatoes- smaller dice will take approximately 15 min while larger can take 25 min

Once potatoes are fork tender, drain and add cream cheese salt pepper and milk. Mash until creamy.

Put your stew in the bottom of a 9x9 pan. Cover with the mashed potatoes

Back at 350 for about 30 min or until brown and bubbly

Allow to cool- 10 min
