Irish Apple Tart

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Sieve the flour, chop or grate the butter into the flour and create a homogeneous sand-like mixture. Add the cold water and mix. Leave the pastry to chill in the fridge for a half an hour in a container.
- 2
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees (fan oven).
- 3
Butter the plate where you bake the apple tart.
- 4
In a bowl peel and chop the apples. Mix in corn flour, cinnamon and honey.
- 5
Divide the pastry into equal portions. Flour the work surface and roll out the top and bottom of the pastry until you get the size of your baking plate. With a fork, prick the base of the pastry to prevent the bubbling.
- 6
Get your apples into the middle of the pastry.
- 7
Dampen the edges of the pastry very lightly as this will allow the lid to form a seal.
- 8
Decorate the edges and join the two pastries. Poke a few holes in the top of the tart.
- 9
Whisk up an egg to give an egg wash on the top for some color.
- 10
Bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 190 degrees and 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

Caramel Apple Tart Caramel Apple Tart
When I used a recipe that bakes the crust and almond cream/filling at the same time, the crust and almond cream turned out undercooked, so I came up with a recipe where the crust is baked "blind" in advance.Don't cut the apples too thinly. The petal shape will be three dimensional and look nicer if the apples have a certain thickness. The sauteed apples will shrink considerably once they are cooled. Please be careful not to overcook them in step 13. Recipe by mocchi4141 cookpad.japan -

Once cooked the bottom of this torte almost caramelized. Just an extra dimension of flavor. Use a sharp knife to cut your serving for the nicest presentation. Serve warm right out of the oven. Another treat for your sweets. Taylor Topp Comacho -
Apple Tart Apple Tart
I wanted to make a delicious apple tart filling without using heavy cream.I revised a recipe found in a book by changing up the apples a bit and made it into an easy tart made with just milk. You may end up with some leftover apples at Step 11, but it's fine that way, since they're delicious just by on their own. Please don't use up all the leftover egg at Step 10. It should only be spread thinly throughout the entire crust. Recipe by peko&poko cookpad.japan -

This recipe comes from my wife, who learned it from her father while growing up in France. Children love to help making the tarts which are traditionally served on Sunday afternoon during weekly family gatherings. Any seasonal fruit can be used. Tidepool
