Wash dal 2-3 times. Soak for 1/2 an hour. Pressure cook and wait for 4 whistle.

In a pan heat oil. For tadka, put sarso and cumin seeds, after crackling of sarso, put curry leaves, green chilli and saute for 1-2 minutes.

Put hing, turmeric and red chilli powder, immediately put boiled urad dal. Put buttermilk. Add salt. Boil on slow flame around 5 minutes. Dal is ready. Serve hot. Garnish with coriander leaves.
