Rajvadi Vadi

The way to make Rajwadi Vadi is different and traditional if you have seen our grandmothers making it, let's make it, and if there is a time limit for making this Vadi, it will stay good only if it is made at a certain time, otherwise it will spoil. This Vadi should be made before Holi and if it is made at night, as it cools down in the cold, its taste will be good and will remain good. This Vadi is a must, when what to make in summer and monsoon or when someone comes to the house unexpectedly, it can be made and served

Palak Sepu Vadi Palak Sepu Vadi
#greenveg - These are fried lentil dumplings cooked in a spinach based gravy. It is one of the signature dishes from the regions of Himachal Pradesh. It is a yummy curry to be enjoyed with any form of rice or Indian bread. I personally like to relish it with either jeera rice or rumali roti. Sepu vadi is basically urad dal (split black gram lentil) which is soaked, ground and then steamed along with some aromat dry spices. So do try this (no onion-no garlic-no ginger) Himachali delicacy and enjoy. Bethica Das -
Kothimbir vadi Kothimbir vadi
#CookClickKothimbir Vadi is a savoury Maharashtrian dish made using coriander leaves and besan. Savoury vadis are a type of fritters, where the mixture is first steamed or cooked and then either shallow fried or deep fried. One more type of famous vadi from this cuisine is the aluvadi, which is made using colocassia leaves and besan. These are first steamed and then shallow fried. Similarly another famous method of preparing kothimbir vadi is to prepare a very thick roll of the ingredients and steam it. It is then cut into slices and shallow fried. The method I have used here for the Kothimbir Vadi is the other one, where the mixture is cooked and set into a tray before being cut into pieces and deep fried! In this method, we get vadis which are crisp from the outside and soft inside. Pooja M. Pandit -

Vendhaya keerai kootu recipe, fenugreek leaves kootu Vendhaya keerai kootu recipe, fenugreek leaves kootu
Vendhaya keerai or fenugreek leaves (methi leaves) with moong dal in South Indian way. No bitterness will be felt in this kootu. I have been thinking kootu will be bitter and avoided making it. This is the first time I am making this south Indian style kootu, though I have made methi dal north Indian way couple of times. After making vendhaya keerai sambar, I found it won't be bitter. So I picked fresh leaves from balcony( homegrown). SaranyaSenthil -
