Cooking Instructions
- 1
Gather all ingredients. Finely chop or mince onions, garlic and chilies.
- 2
Place all chopped ingredients and sesame seeds (if using) in a mixing bowl. Add soy sauce and water.
- 3
Mix in honey and stir well until everything is well mixed. Set aside.
- 4
Fill a pot with enough water to fully cover the eggs later. Add salt and vinegar and bring to a boil. Add eggs to the pot of boiling water. Our eggs are straight from the fridge. Cover the pot and cook for 6-7 mins for a slightly soft yolk and 10 mins for hard-boiled eggs. Prepare iced cold water in a bowl.
- 5
Next, transfer boiled eggs into iced cold water and leave to cool completely for 10 mins. Peel eggs. Put peeled eggs in a container or bottle. Pour the sauce over the eggs, making sure all are covered or completely submerged.
- 6
Leave to marinate overnight. Serve cold over hot or warm rice. Sprinkle some sesame oil and a tsp spoon or the sauce over the egg. You can also eat it as it is.

Marinated Eggs (Korean Mayak Marinade 마약계란) Marinated Eggs (Korean Mayak Marinade 마약계란)
This is soft boiled eggs marinated in a mayak sauce also known as "drug eggs" because of how addicting the sauce is. It's sweet, spicy, umami, garlicky, and balanced. You can also use this marinade/sauce for tofu, dumplings, or even noodles! The base of my sauce recipe is perfectly balanced, I would just change the ratio of jalapeños/peppers used depending on your spice tolerance! If you don't like sesame seeds, you can sub that out.Note: The eggs do get firmer in the marinade due to the salt and sugar content. It's similar to a gentle curing process. If you want the yolk to stay soft, I would marinate it no longer than 6 hours. Longer than that, the yolk turns jammy and fudgy like the photo in my last step.If you like things extra spicy, I would add in some Thai chilis!#koreanmarinatedeggs #marinatedeggs #eggs jc.eeats -

Oh-So-Creamy Marinated Eggs Oh-So-Creamy Marinated Eggs
I love "ajitama" flavored eggs they serve at ramen restaurants so much, I always ask for them! I'm really particular about that soft, creamy texture, so I experimented with the cooking times until I was satisfied. The cooking time is key.If you stop the cooking at 6.5 to 7 minutes, and cool the marinade down properly, the yolks will be creamy soft and delicious inside. For 2 servings. Recipe by haruka616. cookpad.japan -

Easy Marinated Eggs, Great For Ramen Easy Marinated Eggs, Great For Ramen
An older classmate of mine taught me how to make these easy marinated eggs. It's really easy, so I wanted everyone to make it and uploaded the recipe.Peeling the eggs in ice water makes it easier. I wanted to make the eggs soft boiled, so I tried boiling them for 7 minutes, but they didn't become firm enough and fell apart. The right timing is less than 8 minutes, about 7 minutes 40 seconds. If you boil the eggs for 8 minutes the eggs will be quite firm and suitable for bentos. You can keep the eggs in the refrigerator for about 3 days. Recipe by Hanano arashi cookpad.japan -

Salt-Marinated Boiled Eggs Salt-Marinated Boiled Eggs
I thought up a variation on the usual soy sauce marinated eggs you get at ramen restaurants.I recommend marinating soft-boiled eggs.Add some garlic or ra-yu sesame chili oil to taste.I use coarse salt in the marinade. Regular table salt is very salty so 1 teaspoon should be enough. For 5 eggs' worth. Recipe by Umemikkii cookpad.japan
