Ingredients

  1. For the cheela batter-
  2. 1 cupchickpea flour
  3. 1/4 cupinstant veggy masala oats
  4. 1/4 cupbombay semolina
  5. 1/4 cuprice flour
  6. to tasteSalt
  7. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoonred chilli powder
  9. 1green chilli deseeded and finely chopped
  10. 1onion finely chopped
  11. 1 tablespoonlemon juice
  12. 2 pinchasafoetida
  13. 2 tablespoonoil
  14. Handfulcoriander leaves chopped
  15. For the cheela topping_
  16. Tomato sauce as per requirement
  17. 1chopped capsicum
  18. 1Chopped onions
  19. 1chopped tomatoes(deseeded)
  20. Chaat masala as per taste
  21. 1Grated carrot
  22. Grated regular cheese as per taste
  23. Handfulchopped coriander leaves
  24. to tasteSalt
  25. 1egg (optional)
  26. oil for making cheela

Cooking Instructions

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Take a bowl and add in all the ingredients of cheela batter.

    Add some water at a time and make a dosa like batter.

  3. 3

    Heat nonstick tawa and grease with some oil now pour laddle ful of cheela batter and spread in anticlockwise direction in a circular manner

    Pour some oil all over and side of cheela cover and let it cook for 30 second.

  5. 5

    Open the lid and spread some sauce add some chopped onions,some chopped tomatoes,chopped coriander,somechopped capsicum and some grated carrot spread, some grated cheese and again cover the lid and cook until cheela becomes crispy and cheese starts melting.

    Take out the lid after 1 minute and let it cook for 30 second without lid on medium flame.

    If you want you can break open 1 egg this is optional and cook for 1 minute with the lid on.

    Now switch of the flame and roll the crispy cheela and cut into 4 equal parts with the help of knife.

  9. 9

    Serve them on a tray for your kids and top them with some topping like grated carrot,chopped onions,coriander leaves.

    Grate some cheese over these cheela rolls and pour some tomato sauce over each cheela roll.
