Ingredients

  1. I. Flats:
  2. 2 poundsground meat, I used ground sirloin
  3. 3large eggs
  4. 1 teaspoonsalt
  5. 1 teaspoongranulated garlic powder
  6. 1 teaspoonpaprika
  7. 1/3 cupvegetable oil
  8. II. Cream sauce:
  9. 1U.S. pint of heavy cream
  10. 2 cupssour cream
  11. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  12. 1/2 teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper
  13. 1/4 cupparsley
  14. 1/2 teaspoononion powder
  15. 1-1/2arrowroot powder
  16. III. Vegetable egg cake:
  17. 6large eggs
  18. 2 tablespoonsdouble acting baking powder
  19. 2 poundsmixed frozen vegetables, I used broccoli, cauliflower, yellow, and orange carrots
  20. 1 teaspoononion powder
  21. 1 teaspoongranulated garlic powder
  22. 1 teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper
  23. 1 teaspoonsalt
  24. 1 teaspoonpaprika
  25. as needednonstick spray

Steps

    Preheat oven 400° Fahrenheit

  2. 2

    Cut all the vegetables small and same size

    Mix the vegetables, baking powder, spices and eggs

    Spray an oven safe pan and heat the pan

    When pan is hot pour the vegetable mixture into pan. Level it out and put into oven for 30 minutes or till done.

    Take out and set aside till needed

    Mix the spices, eggs, and ground meat

    Form into flat disc about 1/2 an inch thick or 13mm set into hot oil and fry

    Turn as needed when the first turn is done cover and fry for 3 minutes

    I cooked in batches, it makes about 30 flats. As they get done move to a paper towel to absorb excessive oils

    Add heavy cream to a pan heat add spices and parsley

    Add sour cream and blend in well. make sure it gets incorporated in good no lumps

    Add arrowroot powder to thicken. Be careful to incorporate it, the powder may try to lump

    Add the flats mixwith the creamy sauce.
