Ingredients

  1. 1 cupGram Flour
  2. 1 cupchopped coriander
  3. 1/2 teaspoonJeera
  4. 1/2 teaspoonRai
  5. 1/2 teaspoonAjwain
  6. to tasteRed chilli and salt according
  7. 1/2 teaspoonGinger garlic paste
  8. oil for deep fry
  9. 1 cupFor gravy.. Malai/ cream
  10. 3Tomato/tamatar
  11. 1/2 cupMakhana -
  12. 2-3 piecesGreen chilli/ hari mirch
  13. 1/2 cupCurd/ dahi
  14. 3 tablespoonsKaju paste
  15. 1 teaspoonWhole garam masala
  16. 1 teaspoonGinger/ adarak, garlic/lehsun paste
  17. 1/2 teaspoonCumin seeds/ jeera
  18. 3 tablespoonsOil/ tel
  19. leavesChopped coriander
  20. 1/2 teaspoonTurmeric
  21. 1/2 teaspoonred chilli powder
  22. 1/2 teaspooncoriander powder
  23. to tastegaram masala and salt/ namak according

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all ingredients make a thin paste using 2 cup water

  2. 2

    Pour batter in microwave bowl

  3. 3

    Cook in the microwave for 2 minutes. Remove it and beat the batter now. Again, cook for 2 minutes in the microwave. Remove it again and beat it again. For the last time, cook for 1 minute in the microwave and beat.

    Now grease a plate and spread the kothimbir Vadi in 1 inch thick layer. Leave for 20 to 30 minute

  5. 5

    When kothimbir Vadi completely cool down cut in rectangle shape.

  6. 6

    Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry all kothimbir Vadi until Golden in colour

  7. 7

    Heat 1 tablespoon oil and add chopped tomatoes, green chillies and makhana. Saute till the tomatoes turn soft. Switch off the flame. Once cooled, grind it to a puree.

  8. 8

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan, add jeera and whole garam masala and saute for 2 minutes on low flame.

  9. 9

    Now add ginger and garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes on low flame. Add kaju paste and saute again for 5 minutes.

  10. 10

    Add tomato puree, red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric. Saute until the oil gets separated from spices on medium flame.

  11. 11

    Add beaten curd and malai and stir the curry continuously until gravy starts boiling. Now add enough water and add remaining spices and salt.

  12. 12

    Cook for 7-8 minutes on medium flame. Switch off the gas and add fried vadi and chopped coriander in the gravy.
