Ingredients

25 minutes
3 servings
  • 2 glasssunned rice
  • 1 glassroasted moong daal
  • 1/2 glassBengal gram(soaked)
  • 1/2 glassyellow peas daal(soaked)
  • 1tomato chopped
  • 1.5 tbspcoriander powder
  • 1 tbspcumin powder
  • 1"ginger paste
  • 1 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspred chilli Powder
  • 1 tspcumin seed
  • 1bay leaf
  • 1red chilli whole
  • 1 tspred chilli Powder
  • 1 tspturmeric Powder
  • To tastesalt and sugar
  • As neededoil

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and boil the daal

  2. 2

    As it is half boiled add rice and boil

  3. 3

    In the mean time heat a pan add oil

  4. 4

    Temper cumin seed bay leaf and red chilli whole

  5. 5

    Add ginger paste and saute well

  6. 6

    Add tomato, cumin-coriander powder saute well adding salt and turmeric powder

  7. 7

    As oil separates add this into the pot boiling daal and rice

  8. 8

    Mix well and add sugar

  9. 9

    Serve it with fried vegetables or papad and chhutney
