Cook dal with turmeric powder & asafoetida till soft.

Heat oil in a pan.

Add cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, green chillies & onion.

Saute till onion gets lightly browned.

Add spinich & saute for a min.

Add dal and mix well.

Add one cup water, salt & stir.

Add lemon juice, mix & serve hot.
