Porridge Madura
Tradition food of our family that is usually served almost every day during Ramadan . Food is typical Madura using fish paste that is paste from the island of Madura . If me homesickness during the fasting month usually I would always cook this meal to treat my self for the thing i missed . It was savory and soupy . Can add slices of tofu or fried tempeh or slices of boiled egg on top.

Cook until the rice into porridge and set aside.

Grind the beans until smooth and then add the paste, salt, sugar, chillie and vinegar. Add water a bit,not too sticky.

The herring covered with a little salt. can be fried or roasted (if you do not like oily).

Serve the porridge, sprinkle with cucumber slices and pour the sauce. Then herring. it is yummy if you add crackers too.
