Mike's Classic Spicy Italian Subs

What a great weekend pool side afternoon lunch! It's only five minutes to freakin' fabulous! Seriously, prepare to be worshiped!
This is definitely fresh, chilly, crispy, crunchy, juicy, spicy deliciousness! What a delectably spicy combo for your manly boys! Talk about a tasty, complex, spicy, zesty and tangy culinary sensation in every bite!
Great for football games. In fact, take a break and let those big boys build their own samiches! I promise, they won't mind it at all! Just pre-slice all chilled vegetables, meats and cheeses [or have your deli do it for you] and let those boys have at it! Or, as we call it in the South - "Let em' all grab a leg and growl!"
Serve them with chilled Greek or Zesty Italian Dressings, ice cold beers and frosty mugs to the side! Just wet down thick mugs and freeze for 15 minutes.
Ya, you're gonna be absolutely worshiped! 😆 Sultry summer days don't get much better than this folks!

Slightly plain toast your bread in the oven at 350° for 5 minutes or, less. You'll definitely want them slightly toasty with the addition of your chilly Greek or Italian dressings to be added later. Pile your warmed sub bread with chilly meats, cheeses and vegetables any way you desire. Top with chilled shreadded lettuce, tomatoes, pickle spears, peppers, Italian Seasoning and be sure to drizzle subs with a chilled zesty dressing on top. Also, serve with ice cold beer in thick iced cold mugs. That's it! Easy peasy! Enjoy your Summer!

Leftover subs ingredients Leftover subs ingredients
What to do with all of that lettuce from any home made subs ... make a loaded salad with whatever you have leftover. ( and give it a name, this would be a Italian salad.) I had planned ahead knowing I wasn’t going to use all of my ingredients and I got one cucumber to go into this salad and could also add some hard boiled eggs too. I always try to find something to do with the lettuce, so iam not wasting money and it goes bad, I try and plan out 3 dinner meals ahead of time. Even if I just make b.l.t.’s or a tacos, if I do tacos and have leftovers lettuce I make a poor man salad the next day . 🌈NinjaMommaKitchen🌈 -

When making eggplant parmigiana for dinner, I make a mental note to make a little more for delicious sandwiches the next day. Or if I'm in the mood for this warm Italian sub outright, I get right to it with the prep. Add cooked Italian sausage or roasted red peppers if so desired! My recipe for baked eggplant parm is within the ingredients section below. Rick M -
Snackle box Sub/ sandwich bar Snackle box Sub/ sandwich bar
All ingredients are of choice, use what you have / what you like. Easy for subs or sandwiches , everything is all in one place easier to make subs or sandwiches. One of our favorites to make other than the salad bar one. Can use multiple containers one for vegetables and one for meats. I ran out of room on this one there, i still had banana peppers, lettuce, baby spinach, to use but not enough to use another container. In this one pictured I used: mushrooms, red onions, cucumber, black olives, ham, and turkey, lunchmeat, pepperoni and salami, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese, and provolone cheese. Some compartments have two things in them: the meats and cheeses . This is a great option for on the go to take somewhere or even food prep . We like to pick out of throughout the week for lunches and restock as needed. snackle time
