Moong dal with spinach (saagpaita)

Wash the moong dal and spinach under the running water.

Heat ghee into the cooker. Add hing and cumin seeds. When the seeds crackled add chopped garlic, green chilli, ginger and onion. Saute for a second.

Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder into it.mix and roast the masala until the ghee starts to flow at the top.

Add moong dal and spinach in the masala and cook for a minute. Add salt.

Add 2-3 glasses of water and close the lid. Pressure the moong dal for 2-3 whistle. Turn off the flame. When the steam release open the lid.
