Ingredients

Serves 1 serving
  1. 40 gporridge oats
  2. 180 mlmilk (semi-skim or dairy free (almond works well)
  3. 1/2large carrot, peeled and grated
  4. 1/4 tspcinnamon
  5. Pinchnutmeg
  6. Small handful of raisins
  7. Small handful chopped almonds, toasted
  8. Honey

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Heat the oats, milk, grated carrot, raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg in a saucepan over a medium heat.

    Cook for 5 minutes until the oats are cooked and the texture is as desired (add more milk if want thinner)

  3. 3

    Pour into a bowl and sprinkle with the toasted almonds and a drizzle of honey if desired.

Fourth time we’ve made it. Family loves it. I’ve started putting some coconut flakes and a bit or molasses in it while it cooks as well.Next stop you’re banana bread porridge.
