Ingredients

  1. 1 1/4 cupsama rice flour (ready available)
  2. 1/4 cupsago
  3. 3/4 cupcurd/ dahi
  4. To tasteSendha namak (salt)
  5. 2 tspgreen chillies ginger paste
  6. 1/2 tspsoda bi carb/ or Eno if you use during vrat
  7. For tempering
  8. 1 tbspoil
  9. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  10. 1 tspsesame seeds
  11. 2 tspCurry leaves
  12. 2green chillies cut slanting

Cooking Instructions

    Grind sago in mixer jar to little coarse powder. Transfer in mixing bowl. Add sama rice flour and curd. Mix well.(If you don't get sama rice flour..you can grind 1 cup of Sama rice to make coarse powder).

    Mix well,add 1/2 cup of water to make dhokla batter consistency.

    Add salt and black pepper powder and mix. Add ginger and green chilli paste too. Keep cover for 20 minutes.

    Grease a pan with oil for steaming dhokla. Pour 2-3 glasses add of water in steam vessel,in place stand. Place grease thali on stand.
    Add eno or soda and Mix gently.

    Pour in grease thali,cover and steam for 20 minutes.

    In tadka pan add heat oil. Add cummin seeds as splutter add curry leaves, chopped red/ green chillies and sesame seeds.

    Do skewer test to see if Dhokla is done.

    Sprinkle little red chilli powder if you like

    Pour tadka on steamed dhokla. Cut into squares and serve.

  9. 9

    Pour tadka over the dhokla. Cut in pieces and enjoy
