材料

6-8 servings
  1. sliced bacon (thinly sliced) 3 strips (100 g)
  2. ground beef/bison 2 lb
  3. white onion 1 medium (diced)
  4. green bell pepper 1 large (diced)
  5. garlic 2 cloves (minced)
  6. tomato paste 1/4 cup
  7. chili powder 2 tablespoons
  8. ground cumin 1/2 tablespoon
  9. smoked paprika powder 2 teaspoons
  10. ground mustard 2 teaspoons
  11. light brown sugar 2 teaspoons
  12. crushed tomato 1 can (28 oz)
  13. diced tomato 1 can (14.5 oz)
  14. kidney beans (drained/rinsed) 2 cans (15 oz)
  15. water 1 cup
  16. better than bouillon beef base 2 teaspoons
  17. dried oregano 1 teaspooon
  18. kosher salt 2 teaspoons
  19. freshly ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
  20. for the toppings:
  21. sour cream
  22. shredded cheddar cheese
  23. diced avocado
  24. fresh cilantro
  25. tortilla chips

作り方

  1. 1

    Place the bacon in a large Dutch oven.

    Cook over medium heat until crisp.

  3. 3

    NOTE: We use fat for cooking oil (about 2 tablespoons)

    Add onion, pepper and garlic, and cook for 5 minutes.

    Add beef, break it up and cook until meat gets brown.

  6. 6

    Add tomato paste, cook and stir for 2 minutes.

  7. 7

    Add chili/cumin/paprika/mustard/sugar and cook for 2 mins.

    Add all the rest of the ingredients and stir to combine.

    Bring to a boil, and reduce to a simmer.

    Uncover and cook for 30-60 mins, stirring occasionally.

    NOTE: Cook until the chili reaches your desired thickness.

    Taste, adjust with salt and pepper as needed.

  13. 13

    Serve with your choice of topping on top of the chili.
