Bengali-Style Red Lentil Soup Bengali-Style Red Lentil Soup
Lentils offer many health benefits: they help lower bad cholesterol due to their soluble fiber, which reduces LDL levels and supports the liver in producing less cholesterol when eaten regularly. Lentils also help maintain healthy blood sugar levels, as they digest slowly and help you feel full longer, making it easier to manage weight. They improve digestion, help relieve constipation, prevent diverticulosis, and ease symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. Lentils are low in calories and high in antioxidants, which may help prevent various cancers, especially breast cancer. Their fiber content supports heart and blood vessel health by reducing cholesterol and preventing its oxidation in blood vessels, lowering the risk of stroke. Lentils are rich in amino acids, folic acid, and iron (providing 366% of daily iron needs), which help prevent anemia and boost hemoglobin production. They also support nervous system health and electrical activity due to their high potassium and low sodium content, boost metabolism, and may help prevent Alzheimer's and arthritis. Lentils also promote healthy skin. ماريا بكاوي ...Translated from Cookpad Saudi Arabia -
