Had something similar to this on holiday, really liked it so created my own! Great with crusty bread, perfect comfort food.

I usually use my basil sauce to make a hot salad with boiled potatoes. My son loves that dish.I store my basil sauce in an empty jam bottle that contains 250 g. The basil pasta I had at a restaurant was delicious, so I tried making it at home using home-grown basil leaves to make the sauce!Using thick cuts of bacon and basil sauce that doesn't contain pine nuts is only my preference.You can do other preparations while the pasta is boiling. I marinated the shiso leaves, which I grew from seeds, in the garlic flavoured soy sauce.I wanted to use it for cooking and I mixed it with cream cheese to make a cheese filling. I filled a huge courgette my friend gave me with the cheese filling.You can use regular-sized courgettes.Use more than 2 kinds of herbs to give a good flavour.I used parsley, asatsuki chives and tarragon this time.According to the size of courgettes and oven you use, the cooking time might differ.
