Ingredients

  1. 1 cupsplit chick pea lentil/chana dal
  2. 3onion chopped
  3. 1 tspginger garlic paste
  4. to tastesalt
  5. handfulcoriander leaves
  6. handfulmint leaves
  7. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  8. 1 tspred chilli powder
  9. 3/4 tspcoriander powder
  10. 1/2 tspmastard seeds
  11. 1 tspcumin seeds
  12. 2red chillies
  13. 2 tspcurry leaves
  14. 2 tbspoil

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Cook chick pea lentil in a cooker adding enough water by getting 4 whistles, do not overcook, drain the water and keep aside.

    In a pan take 2tbsp oil heat it add mastard seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies curry leaves saute it for a while

    Now add chopped onion,fry little, add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder saute it for a while,

    Add cooked chana dal,(chick pea lentil)and a glass of water, add chopped coriander leaves,mint leaves, close the lid boil for 10 minutes...your tasty healthy chana dal curry is ready to serve...
