I had one bowl of mix veg with bitter gourd dal (which is totally disliked by my children) and one bowl masoor dal. I prepared a mixed dal from these leftover dals which is just awesome and also loved by my children. Ingredients

45 minutes
4 servings
  1. 2 tbspgreen moong dal
  2. 2 tbspblack urad
  3. 2 tbspwhite urad
  4. 2 tbspchana dal
  5. 2 tbsprajma/kidney beans
  6. 2 tbspkabuli chana/chickpeas
  7. 1onion
  8. 1tomato
  9. 1 tspgarlic paste
  10. 1 tspginger paste
  11. 1 tspjeera/cumin seeds
  12. 1 tspturmeric powder
  13. to tastesalt
  14. 2-3dry red Chillies
  15. 1-2tejpatta/bay leaves
  16. 2 tsp coriander leaves
  17. 1 tspghee or butter
  18. 2 tbspoil

Cooking Instructions

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash all dals and keep it for 15 minutes

  2. 2

    After 15 minutes boil dals with salt, turmeric powder and mix with leftover dals. Boil it again for some time.

    Now heat a tadka pan with oil, add tejpatta, jeera, onion, garlic and ginger paste.

    Fry them and mix with dals

  5. 5

    Add 1 tbsp ghee or butter for better taste.

  6. 6

    Before serving the dal add coriander leaves.

  7. 7

    Enjoy this mixed dal with roti and rice.
