Ingredients

  1. 1 literMilk
  2. 100 gmsVermicelli
  3. 1/2 cupSugar
  4. 1/4 cupWhole dried milk / mawa
  5. 5Whole dry dates
  6. 2 tbspGrated coconut
  7. 1 tbspRoughly chopped cashew nuts
  8. 1 tbspRoughly chopped almonds
  9. 1 tbspRaisins
  10. 1 tbspCrushed pistachios
  11. 1 tbspChironji
  12. fewSaffron strands
  13. 1/4 tspCardamom powder
  14. 2 tbspClarified butter

Cooking Instructions

    Heat clarified butter / ghee in a pan.

    Add vermicelli and stir fry till light brown.

  3. 3

    Boil milk in a thick bottom vessel

  4. 4

    Once boiled, keep it in a low flame.

  5. 5

    Stir in between thickening the milk.

  6. 6

    Add fried vermicelli in it.

  7. 7

    Cook well till it gets thick.

  8. 8

    Add dates and dry fruits in it.

  9. 9

    Add sugar and whole dried milk / mawa and mix well.

  10. 10

    Add cardamom powder and grated coconut.

  11. 11

    The consistency is not so thick nor liquid.

  12. 12

    Garnish with safron and almonds.
