Ingredients

  1. for palak paste :
  2. 5 cupswater
  3. 1 bunchpalak / spin
  4. 1 inchginger
  5. 1clove
  6. 3 green chillies
  7. Other ingredients:
  8. 3 tspoil
  9. 1 tspbutter
  10. 11 cubespaneer
  11. 1 tspcumin / jeera
  12. 1 inchcinnamon
  13. 4 cloves
  14. 2 cardamons
  15. 2 tsp kasuri meethi/ dry fenugreek leaves
  16. 1bay leaf / tej patta
  17. 1/2onion, finely chopped
  18. 1/2 tomato, finely chopped
  19. 1/4 cupwater
  20. 3/4 tspsalt
  21. 1/4 tspgaram masala

Cooking Instructions

    Take blanched palak, 1 inch ginger, 1 clove garlic and 4 green chillies

    blend to smooth paste without adding any water. keep aside.

    Now in a large kadhai heat 3 tsp oil, 1 tsp butter and roast the spices till it turns aromatic.

    further, add ½ onion and saute till it turns golden brown

  3. 3

    Additionally, add ½ tomato and saute till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.

    add prepared palak paste, ¼ cup water and ¾ tsp salt.

    Mix well adjusting consistency as required.

    further, add roasted paneer and mix well.

    simmer for 5 minutes or till paneer absorbs flavour.

    Turn off the flame and add ¼ tsp garam masala, 1 tsp kasuri methi and kashmiri mirch and desi ghee mixture.

    finally, serve restaurant-style palak paneer with roti / naan.
