Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupMasoor Dal
  2. 1 cupchopped Green Amarnath leaves
  3. 1/4 cupchopped Spinach leaves
  4. 1Onion, finely chopped
  5. 1small Tomato, finely chopped
  6. 1 tspGarlic minced
  7. 1Dry Red Chili
  8. 1 tspGaram masala powder
  9. 1/2 tspRed Chili powder
  10. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 2 tbspOil

Cooking Instructions

    Wash masoor dal well and put it in a pressure cooker.

    Wash and chop green amarnath leaves and spinach leaves, put in pressure cooker with dal, add turmeric and salt and cook for 3-4 whistles.

    Heat oil in a kadahi and put chopped garlic.

  4. 4

    Sauté on medium heat for a minute and add chopped onion, fry them till golden brown in colour.

  5. 5

    Now add chopped tomato, chili powder and salt.

  6. 6

    Cook on low heat till tomato cooked well, then add cooked dal and green leaves.

  7. 7

    Add garam masala powder and cook till dal starts thickening.

  8. 8

    Transfer in a serving bowl, put tadka of dry red chilli and serve with roti or paratha.
