Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsRice
  2. 5 cupsWater
  3. Food colour red,orange, green
  4. 2 tbspnWater to mix with food colour
  5. Sugar 2tspns
  6. pinchSalt
  7. 2 tbspnOil
  8. For biriani
  9. Marinate over night this:-
  10. 1 kgMeat
  11. Mixed spices
  12. 1 cupYoghurt
  13. Tumeric powder
  14. 1 tbspnSugar
  15. pinchSalt
  16. 2 cupsTomato puree
  17. 3/4 cupTomato paste
  18. 1 cupOnions blended
  19. 3 tbspnVinegar
  20. 1/4 cupoil
  21. 5big Onions to deep fry with 1cup oil

Cooking Instructions

    Boil the water, when it boils add rice, salt, sugar, oil.

  2. 2

    When the water stops to bubble to top reduce the heat and cover it to simmer.

  3. 3

    Remove the marinated meat from the fridge. Put it in a heavy sufuria and let it simmer till it's cooked and the oil collects at the top.

    Take the oil that collects at the top we will use it when layering the rice.

  5. 5

    Take the big onions, slice then into round rings, the dry them and deep fry till they turn golden brown, take care not to burn.

    Now mix the already fried onions with the cooked meat rojo.

  7. 7

    Mix the colours separately and sprinkle on the rice it will make a rainbow kind of mix.

    Serve the rice and the rojo meat thick stew. And make sure to lick your fingers. Yummy
