Palm nut soup/ ofe akwu
I love food lol but my favorite soup of all, is this beautiful palm nut soup. The flavor of the palm nut is indescribable and delicious 😋! The palm tree is just amazing that you can get wine from it and it’s no low class wine either! Palm oil is a must for a lot of Igbo dishes and of course the palm nut soup 🍜 is time consuming but so worth it !

Eba and bitter leaf soup

Okro soup with ogbono
#Ashlab.Okro soup has been one of the most easiest and quickest soup to prepare.some argue that okro takes a lot of time and energy to make, but for me I used the blender method to blend my okro and ogbonno due to the fact that I don’t like the smell that comes from ogbonno,So blending it together with the okro removes the smell and also gives it a nice taste. It’s known as miyan kubewa in Hausa.I love everything about okro soup mixed with ogbonno, especially that part of draw, which makes it fun while eating. Blending your belly pepper, chilly pepper with the garlic, onions and cray fish gives the paste a nice aroma and also taste.Least I forget I used the processed okro because I couldn’t get the fresh okro here .You can cut spinach and add to your okro soup.Don’t forget to wash your hands before you start cooking and also wash all the veggies that needs to be washed.

Thick and Creamy Fava Bean Potage Soup
This is our family's spring soup.If you do not mind animal fat, it will taste better to use 15 g butter instead of using olive oil. If the soup is too thick at step 6, please add milk to balance the thickness. The soup will have a beautiful green color if you do not put the lid on, during or after cooking. Recipe by La Land

Coto Makassar / Beef Soup
This is Coto Makassar or beef soup in peanut gravy, it is made from beef and beef tripe, a famous Indonesian traditional food originating from Makassar, South Sulawesi. This dish traditionally serves with ketupat or buras or just with steamed white rice. And Indonesians love to eat this coto with sambal tauco (chili sauce with fermented soy bean). I did not make the sambal tauco this time because I added some chilies in my gravy. So, this coto was already spicy.

Korean Style Beef and Radish Seaweed Soup
Really simple beef soup full of the umami of seaweed and the delicate sweetness from radish. This recipe is a combination of miyeok guk (Seaweed Soup) and Seogogi mugok (Beef radish soup). We served it with japanese rice, kimchi and Korean green peppers.

Short Rib French Onion Soup
I made this recipe to give a dark rich French onion soup base, with an actual short rib per serving. Many recipes online give watery bland soups, with shredded beef that I think defeats the purpose of spending the time braising short ribs. I also think that adding flour to the soup to give it body mutes the flavor and turns it more to a stew or gravy. Instead, I found adding gelatin to give the soup body was a better choice. I also found that using cubed toasted sourdough instead of the traditional cross cut baguette provided a bread with more toothsome chew and fits in the crocks better.
