Chilla is indian pancakes. Moong dal chilla is perfect option for healthy breakfast.
You can serve it with green chutney or coconut chutney.
You can take any vegetables for stuffing. Moong dal chilla is made by soaking and blending moong dal with using water.
Here I used grated paneer also in stuffing.

Ingredients

50 minutes
3 peoples
  1. For making moong dal batter:
  2. 1 cupmoong dal
  3. 3 cupwater for soaking
  4. 1 tbspcumin seeds
  5. 1 inchginger
  6. 1/2 tbspturmeric powder
  7. 4-5 tbspwater if required to grind batter
  8. 2 pinchesasafoetida
  9. leavesChopped green coriander
  10. 1/2 tbspsalt
  11. For preparing vegetables & paneer stuffing :
  12. 2 tbspoil
  13. 2 pinchesasafoetida
  14. 1 tbspmustard seeds
  15. 1 tbspginger paste
  16. 1chopped capsicum
  17. 1chopped onion
  18. 1 bowlchopped cabbage
  19. 1/2 tbspsalt
  20. 1 tbspchaat masala
  21. as required Grated paneer
  22. For making chilla :
  23. as required Oil

Cooking Instructions

    For preparing chilla batter :
    Take a bowl and add 1 cup moond dal wash and soak it and keep aside for 3 hours.

    After 3 hours transfer to mixture blender add turmeric, cumin seeds, ginger, 3-4 tbsp water and grind it smooth.

    Transfer the batter to big vessel and mix asafoetida, salt & choppe green coriander and stir well.

    Meanwhile, chop veggies like onion, capsicum, cabbage. (you can take carrots, corn etc).

    Heat a oil in pan & add mustard seed, asafoetida, ginger paste and saute it. After that add chopped capsicum, onion and cabbage and saute it well for 2-3 minutes.

    Next, add chaat masala and salt and combine well.turn off the gas and keep aside stuffing for cool down. After 5 minutes add grated paneer and mix well.

    For preparing chilla : heat a non-stick pan add pour a ladleful batter in circular motion. After 1 minute apply oil in corners.and fry it from both the sides.

    And gently add stuffing and wrap it.

    Now stuffed moong dal chilla is ready serve it with coconut chutney or green chutney.
