Spam and Eggs on Toasted Bread

My boyfriend is Filipino and loves this dish, it's become a comfort food for me as well :)

A delicious breakfast sandwich

I substitute my usual carb intake which is rice with rye bread, which contain high fibre. Avocado and mayo are for the fat, and honey to give a sweet flavour. Yup, that's it. No green veggies for today.

For dinner rolls I will usually double this recipe. It will fill a whole large cookie sheet. Singly it will make one good sized loaf of bread. For cinnimon rolls I will roll out to about 1/4 inch thick, coat generously with softed butter, then generously sprinkly with brown sugar and cinnimon, I roll it up, cut with a thread into one inch wide rolls. Lay on their sides. Let rise for about 30 mins and then bake.

I love canapes! This is my made up recipe, of course you may add or omit any of the ingredients. Keep in the fridge for when a snack is needed or serve to guests over mini toasts or bread slices with some chives or bell peppers as garnish. Enjoy :)

I made this for my husband who enjoys bread on the side.If the dough doesn't stretch out, increase the resting time after the first rising. If you're impatient, place the ham on top of the dough and roll it out together. While lightly stretching the dough, roll it up. When using scissors, a deeper cut is better. It's okay if the bottom isn't perfectly level! It'll even out while baking. If they're are extremely slanted, push down on the baking tray a bit to even out. Recipe by xcaret
