Ingredients

1 hour 30 mins
10 servings
  1. 2 tbsplive oil
  2. 1 headwhite cabbage
  3. 3 mediumcarrots
  4. 3 quartvegetable broth
  5. 1/4 tspcinnamon
  6. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  7. 1bay leaf
  8. 1/2 tspmustard seed
  9. 2whole cloves
  10. 1/2 tspcumin
  11. 1salt

Cooking Instructions

    Heat olive oil in large pot over medium heat.

    Shred cabbage and add to pot.

  3. 3

    Slice carrots on the bias and add to oil and cabbage.

  4. 4

    Saute vegetables until cabbage softens. (About 10 minutes)

    Add all of the vegetable broth.

  6. 6

    Add spices to pot.

  7. 7

    Salt to taste. (This depends on the saltiness of your broth. )

  8. 8

    Simmer on low heat until cabbage and carrots are tender enough for your taste.

  9. 9
