Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsflour
  2. 1 tspyeast
  3. 2 tbspoil
  4. Warm milk as required
  5. Minced meat
  6. Fried plantain
  7. Onions
  8. Parsley
  9. Soy sauce
  10. Seasoning
  11. Tumeric
  12. Ginger/garlic powder
  13. Black pepper
  14. Oil

Cooking Instructions

    Mix the yeast into the warm milk. In a bowl add flour, oil, salt and pour the milk in, mixing it all in with your hands, until you have a rough dough.

    Turn it out onto floured surface and knead until you have a smooth dough. You don't want it to be too elastic, it should be smooth but relatively stiff.

    Leave to rise in warm place for an hour while you make the filling.

    In a pan add oil, chopped onions and ginger/garlic powder. Fry for 2-3minutes.

    Add the minced meat, seasoning and spices, stir fry for some minutes. Then add the fried plantain and parsley.

    6. Take the dough and knock it back then split it into four and roll into rough rectangles.

    Spread ketchup over the dough and roll up lengthways to make a sausage, then slice into spiral rings.

    Press into a well-buttered ovenproof glass dish. Add the plantain filling, top the whole thing with a circle of dough.

    Bake at 180 degrees C for 1 hour until cooked. You can serve it with tea or any drink.
