Ingredients

  1. For Chutney:
  2. 2 tbspCorn flour
  3. 1 tbspMaida
  4. 8Green chillies
  5. 1 tbspCumin seeds
  6. 1 tbspGarlic flakes
  7. 1 tbspCrushed red chillies
  8. 1 bunchCoriander leaves
  9. 1 bunchMint leaves
  10. 125 gmsTamarind pulp
  11. 2 glassesWater
  12. For Kabab:
  13. 1 tspCoriander seeds
  14. 1 tspCoriander powder
  15. 11/2 tspCumin seeds
  16. 1 tspGaram masala powder
  17. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  18. Salt to taste
  19. 15Button red chillies
  20. 1 tbspGinger garlic
  21. 3Eggs
  22. 1/2 tspBlack peppercorns
  23. 250 gmsChana daal
  24. 2Potatoes
  25. Other ingredients:
  26. Round burger buns as required
  27. 1Onion large
  28. Bread crumbs as required
  29. Oil to fry

Cooking Instructions

    Soak daal for 1-2 hours.

    Peel and cube potatoes.

  3. 3

    Cook together daal and potatoes along with all spices.

  4. 4

    Cook till moisture evaporates,masala is dry and both daal and potatoes are completely cooked.

    Lastly add in garam masala.

    Chopparize this masala well.

    Add in 1 egg and mix well.

    Make small round kababs.

    Beat eggs till frothy.

    Heat oil in a wok.

    Lightly roll kababs in crumbs.

    Dip in egg.

    Deep fry till light golden.

    Keep them aside.

    Blend together chutney ingredients along with some water.

    Pour this mixture in a pan.

    Add in corn flour and maida.

    Cook till it rapidly boils and slightly thickens.

    Mix crushed chillies in it.

    Keep it aside to cool.

    Lightly toast buns on griddle.

    Slice the onion.

    Spread chutney on bottom part of burger.

    Place kabab on it.

    Throw in onions.

    Cover with top part.

    Serve straight away.
