Steps
- 1
Cook the daal and strain the water. Add powdered Jaggery and cardamom powder mix well
- 2
- 3
Mash with a masher. If it gets liqidy and unable to make balls, heat the mixture on high flame for 2 minutes then cool it. It will become tight and make small balls out of it
- 4
Seive maida and add water to make batter (similar to dosa batter consistency)
- 5
- 6
Heat oil. Dip the balls in the batter, make sure to cover balls completely with batter, otherwise oil will get dirty. Deep fry the balls
- 7
Can be stored for 2 days. Enjoy the traditional sweet burelu.
