Ingredients

30 minutes
2 servings
  1. 1/2 cupbarley
  2. 6 cupswater
  3. 2lemons
  4. 1/4 tsplemon zest
  5. 1/4 tspgrated ginger
  6. 1/8 tsp black pepper powder
  7. Pinchsalt
  8. as requiredJeggary or sugar or honey as per your taste
  9. 8-10mint leaves (chopped)

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Rinse barley until water becomes clear.Soak it for 3 to 4 hrs if possible.Boil it with grated ginger and lemon zest.When it comes to boil reduce the flame and let it simmer for 10to 15 minutes.

    Let it cool,strain it,add all the remaining ingredients, mix well.
