Ingredients

  1. For paneer tikka
  2. 250 gmspaneer
  3. 1 tsproasted chick pea (sattu) powder
  4. 1 tspred chilli powder
  5. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  6. 1/2 tspchat masala
  7. 1/2 tspginger paste
  8. 1 tspgarlic paste
  9. 1/2 cupcurd
  10. 1/2 tspkasuri methi
  11. 1 tspvinegar or lemon juice
  12. 1small capsicum diced
  13. 1small tomato diced
  14. 1small onion diced
  15. as per tastesalt
  16. As requiredbutter to saute tikka
  17. For gravy
  18. 1medium onion roughly chopped
  19. 4medium tomatoes roughly chopped
  20. 15cashew nuts
  21. 2green chillies roughly chopped
  22. 1bay leaf
  23. 1 tbsginger garlic paste
  24. 1 tspred chilli powder
  25. 1/2 tspgaram masala powder
  26. 1 tspkasuri methi
  27. as per tastesalt
  28. 2 tbspoil/butter/clarified butter

Cooking Instructions

    For paneer tikka:
    Strain curd for 10 minutes to remove excess water. Transfer curd to deep utensil, now add all ingredients (except vegetables & paneer) mix well. Now add paneer & vegetables, mix gently. Keep aside to marinate for 30 minutes.

    For gravy:
    Mix onion, tomatoes, cashew nuts and ½ cup of water in pan and cook on medium flame for 6-7 minutes. Let it cool completely.Add green chilies to cashew nuts mixture and grind to fine paste.

    Heat oil/butter/clarified butter in pan add bayleaf, saute for 30 seconds, now add ginger and garlic paste saute for 1 minute. Add paste, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, kasuri methi and salt mix well and cook for 1 minute.

    Now heat butter on tawa & saute marinated paneer & vegetables from every side then add to gravy, cook for 5 minutes. Relish with naan or rice.
