Sloppy Joe Dog Burritos
I made these one day as a #fridgecleanout & #leftoversmakeovers meal, as I had leftover #sloppyjoe to use up.👌😎 My teenagers enjoy "sloppy joe dogs" which is something we came up with that is similar to #chilidogs but without the spice! 😏👍 That being said, I dont always have hot dog buns...or cheddar! 🤦🏻♀️😆 However, for some reason I always have tortillas & mozzarella! 😂😄👏👌👍
Sloppy Joe Dog Burritos

Cooking Instructions

First, boil, fry, microwave, or cook your hot dogs however you prefer.

Next, lay tortillas on a flat surface. Place a hot dog in the middle of each tortilla, one at a time. Scoop 2-3 tbsp of sloppy joe on top of the hot dogs & spread evenly.

Finally, top each with shredded mozzarella cheese, to taste, & roll up all together into burrito form. Fry or bake at 325° for 10-20 minutes, or microwave on high for 1 minute & 30 seconds-2 minutes each. Let cool. Serve & Enjoy.

So, when I got the America's Test Kitchen cookbook a few years ago, I didn't even look at the recipe, but then I was curious as to what was actually in it. Upon reading the recipe, It seemed super simple and tasty....so I'm not sure what the problem was when I was a kid. Anyway, I tried the recipe with my family, and it's quick, super easy and delicious. It goes really well on the Soft Pretzel Buns.
