Dahi Batata Puri / Panipuri Chat is a popular Indian street food originating mainly in Maharashtra.Different regions have specific names for this chaat . This mouth-watering chaat is so addictive that you just can't stop at one.It is made with crisp fried puffed puris( golgappas) made from semolina/flour be it homemade or store bought. These puris are stuffed with spiced batata which is the Maharashtrian name for potato. Some boiled or curried yellow dry peas ( ragda) or black chickpeas are added to this stuffing.A mildly sweetened yoghurt and sweet and sour tamarind and green coriander chutneys are drizzled along with spice powders. The texture is crispy exterior while soft inside ,topped with chilled yogurt and tangy chutneys, spices and bursting with flavours. Making this chaat is easy if all the ingredients are prepped beforehand and assembled just before serving .
