Ingredients

15 minutes
2 servings
  • 3medium green tomatoes
  • 1 tbspoil
  • 1 tspcummin seeds
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 1 pinchasafoetida/hing
  • 1/4 tsptumeric powder
  • as per tasteSalt
  • 1 tbspred chilli powder
  • 1 tbspdhania jeera powder
  • 2-3 tbspjaggery
  • 2 tbspcoarsely ground roasted peanuts
  • 2 tbspfinely chopped green corainder leaves to garnish

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and chopped green tomatoes into pieces.

  2. 2

    In cooking pan add heat oil. Add mustard seeds cummin seeds as splutter add add asafoetida and tumeric powder.

  3. 3

    Add chopped green tomatoes and salt. Saute for 2 minutes. Add water. Cover with lid filled with water. Cook on low flame till tender.

  4. 4

    Add red chilli powder, dhania jeera powder, jaggery and peanuts coarse powder. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.(Add jaggery as per your taste)

  5. 5

    Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve Relish Delicious Hot Green Tomato Subzi with Kadhi, Rotis/Parathas/ Theplas.
