  1. 1 cupgrated bottle gourd (lauki) (about 120 grams)
  2. 2 cupsplain yogurt (about 480 grams)
  3. 1/2 cupmilk (about 120 ml)
  4. Salt and black salt, to taste
  5. 1/2 teaspoonred chili powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoonroasted cumin powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoonchopped cilantro

    Peel, wash, and grate the bottle gourd. In a bowl, heat water and add the grated bottle gourd. Boil until tender, then drain using a strainer and discard the water. In a separate bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth, then add a little milk to thin it out. Mix the cooked bottle gourd into the yogurt. Add all the spices to taste and refrigerate to chill.
