This is an easy, simple and delicious family favorite.

Slice open the meat so that it's the same thickness all over. In order to make the skin very crispy, wipe out the extra oil in the pan after you turn the meat over, and don't put a lid on. This is great grilled on a barbeque too!! For 4 servings. Recipe by Naomoka

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 4Chicken thighs
  2. 3 cloveGarlic
  3. 2 tspSalt
  4. 1Black pepper
  5. 3 tbspOlive oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Pierce the meat on the skin side several times with a skewer. Rub the grated garlic and ginger over both sides of the meat.

  2. 2

Heat some olive oil in a frying pan over high heat and put the chicken in skin side down. Fry for 5 minutes until the skin is browned. It will splatter a lot so put a lid on for this part!

  3. 3

Turn the chicken over and lower the heat to medium. Wipe up the excess oil in the pan diligently with paper towels, and cook the meat on this side for 5 minutes. If you don't put a lid on for this part the skin will be very crispy.

  4. 4

When both sides are golden brown it's done! Everyone will be drawn to the wonderful aroma of the garlic.
