Arrange the ingredients. Soak dal for 10 minutes.

Boil water in a pot and half cook lentils. Add chopped pumpkin saag and cook till done. Add grated coconut to pumpkin saag.

Heat mustard oil, add mustard seeds and allow to crackle. Add dry red chilli, fresh chilli, onion chopped garlic and saute till aromatic and done. Mix well this tampered masala with cooked pumpkin leaves with lentils and serve.
