Cooking Instructions

Wash and soak the Split Mung Dal for 10 minutes.
Cut the onion,tomato and garlic.
Crush the Green chillies and ginger.
Make everything ready. - 2
Add oil in the pressure cooker.
Add cumin, mustard seeds, Asafoetida and dry red chillies,
Let them splutter.
Then add chilli,ginger, garlic,onion and tomato together with salt.
Saute till tomato gets softer. - 3
Now add Chilli, turmeric and coriander powder along with little water. Saute till all spices cook well.
Now add soaked mung dal and enough water with fresh coriander.
Mix well.
Let the water boil. Then close the lid and cook till 3 whistles,then switch off the flame. - 4
When the pressure cooker cools down, open it,add lemon juice,and boil for a minute.
Now Yummy split Mung Dal is ready.
Transfer it in the bowl.
Sprinkle coriander and serve.. - 5
