Ingredients

Overnight Soaking+ 35 minutes cooking time
4 - 5 person
  • 1 bowlkala chana(black chickpeas)
  • 2 tspoil/ghee
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 1/2 tspurad dal
  • 5-6Curry leaves
  • 1 piecedry red chilli
  • 1 piecegreen chilli (finely chopped)
  • 1punch of Asafoetida (hing)
  • 2-3 tbspGrated coconut
  • Salt to taste

Steps

Overnight Soaking+ 35 minutes cooking time
  1. 1

    Soak black chickpeas overnight. Pressure cook them with enough water and a little salt until soft (about 3-4 whistles).

    Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add urad dal, dry red chilies, curry leaves, and a pinch of hing.

    Add the boiled chana to this seasoning. Mix well and saute for a few minutes.

    Finally, add grated coconut and chopped green chili. Toss gently and turn off the flame.

    Offer it as naivedyam to Lord Ganesha and then serve as prasadam.
