Jamun also known as Java Plum or Black Plum or Indian Black Berry is a great seasonal gift. As the markets are loaded with this amazing Fruit, I have decided to go for a Raita preparation this time.
With homemade thick and sweet Curd, this Raita looks so good. It's yummy and irresistible.
If the Jamun are less tart, then it tastes even more awesome. The acidic nature of Jamun is natural and hence it can be enjoyed best with some freshly powdered zingy masalas more common to the Indian Subcontinent. These little beauties are an amazing seasonal Fruit that just cannot be missed.
Chaats, Sherbet, Mojito, Salads and Raita are the best options and can never go wrong. This lovely looking colourful little Fruits are juicy, sour, tart, acidic and full of amazing health benefits. These seasonal goodies are an awesome treat on any given day.
Enjoy No Cooking with Zeen!

Steps
- 1
Get all the ingredients ready. Homemade curd can add a lot of flavour as well as taste and texture. Beat it well.
- 2
To this add sliced or pureed jamun. Both the ways, it is absolutely delicious. I make it both the ways always for my family. Stir in some black salt, roasted cumin powder and chaat masala.
- 3
Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- 4
Serve it chilled as a side to many an important meals. It can be a great dip option as well for chips, nachos, seasonal fruits etc. Enjoy!
