Ingredients

  1. 1 lbground conch meat.- can buy it a fish market.
  2. 1 packagesMartha white hush puppy mix with onion
  3. 1whole egg
  4. 1/2 cupbuttermilk
  5. 2 tbsproasted red pepper- minced
  6. 1/4 cupred onion-minced
  7. 16 ozvegetable oil for frying.

Steps

  1. 1

    Mince pepper, onion as fine as you can get them.

  2. 2

    In large dutch oven add vegetable oil and heat 375 degrees.

  3. 3

    In large bowl add all ingredients and mix well. Make small balls about 2 inches in diameter.

  4. 4

    Drop fritters in hot oil 3 at a time and cook until golden brown. Fry at 375.

  5. 5

    Makes about 18 fritters.

  6. 6

    Use a honey mustard or a cocktail sauce for dipping.
