I love this recipe. Everyone loves it. All four kids like it. In my house I add a smidge more tabasco, and a few shakes of red pepper flakes to give it even more if a kick. :positive

Ingredients

  1. 1 lbLean ground beef
  2. 10 ozShoe string cut carrots
  3. 1/2 cupCelery, thinly sliced
  4. 1/2 cupChopped yellow onion
  5. 2 canDiced tomatoes
  6. 1 canRed kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  7. 1 canWhite kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  8. 4 cupBeef broth
  9. 2 tbspDried oregano
  10. 2 tspSalt
  11. 1 tspBlack pepper
  12. 1 tbspTabasco sauce
  13. 1Regular size jar of Prego traditional flavor spaghetti sauce
  14. 8 ozDitalini pasta

Cooking Instructions

    Brown ground beef on stove. Season with salt and pepper. Drain and set aside.

    Use a 6 quart crock pot. Add the carrots, celery.and onion. Next, add the tomatoes, beans, beef broth, and jar of spaghetti sauce.

    Add oregano, salt, pepper and tabasco.

    Finally, and the ground beef. Mix well.

    Put the lid on and cook for eight hours on low.

  6. 6

    30 minutes before it is done, add the pasta.

  7. 7

    Be sure not to add extra pasta, it is tempting because it looks like it is not enough. Trust me it is plenty. Too much pasta soaks up too much liquid
