Soak the urad dal overnight.

Grind it in a smooth paste and mix ajwain into it.

Blend it very well with a hand blender or a spoon.

Heat the oil in a wok, make some small balls of the urad dal and fry them very well.

Heat some water by putting some salt in it. Soak the vadas in that water.

Remove the vadas out of the water and keep them aside.

Take half of the curd and mix it very well with a little water some black salt and sugar. Then soak the vadas in it.

Now prepare the tamarind chutney. Dry roast the whole masalas, that are written under the tamarind chutney in the ingredients, and grind them into a smooth powder.

Heat a wok and add the tamarind pulp and bring it to boil.

Add the sugar and salt.

Add the dry roasted masala powder and mix them very well.

Once you get the desired consistency remove it from the flame.

Now put the vadas in a serving plate. You will notice that the vadas have soaked all the curd in it.

Take the rest of the curd and again mix it well with some sugar and black salt. Don't add any water.

Garnish it with the curd, tamarind chutney, chat masala, bhujia and papri.

Your dahi vada is ready to be served.
