Ingredients

  • 1 cupMacaroni / Elbow Pasta boiled as per packaging instructions
  • 500 mlmilk
  • 1onion chopped
  • 1bay leaf
  • 3cloves
  • 1star anise
  • 4 podschopped garlic
  • 1/4 cupPeas and Corn mixed
  • 1 tbspAll purpose Flour
  • 2 tbspbutter
  • 1 tsporegano
  • 1 tspbasil
  • 1 tspchilli flakes
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    In a sauce pan, add the milk, chopped onion, bay leaf, star anise, and cloves and bring the milk to a boil. Turn off the flame and allow the milk to infuse the flavours of the spices.

  2. 2

    Heat butter in a pan, add the garlic and saute. Add the corn and peas and allow to cook. Now add the flour and cook till the rawness disappears.

  3. 3

    Add the milk by straining and stir continuously until the sauce thickens. Now add the seasoning and the pasta and cook for 5 mins.

  4. 4

    Serve hot with some toasted garlic bread.
