Super Easy and Quick Homemade Bread!!

First, hydrate the yeast: In a bowl, add about 1/2 cup of the warm water (from the 1 1/2 cups total), the yeast, and the sugar. Stir well until everything is dissolved.

Once dissolved, add the rest of the warm water, the olive oil, and 1/3 cup of flour (taken from the 4 cups total).

Mix everything very well until there are no lumps. Transfer to a larger bowl and let it activate.

Cover with a cloth and let it rise at room temperature for 30 minutes.

After this time, the dough should have bubbles and have grown in size.

Now, gradually add the flour and mix.

The dough should become very thick. When it gets very sticky, add the salt and mix.

Add the rest of the flour and mix well. Transfer the dough to a floured countertop and knead for a couple of minutes (grease your hands with oil so the dough doesn't stick).

Grease the bottom and sides of a bowl with oil and place the dough inside.

Cover with a cloth and let it rise for 60 minutes.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush the paper with olive oil.

Take a large glass baking dish (you'll use this to cover the dough in the oven) and brush the bottom and sides with olive oil.

After the 60 minutes, the dough should have risen.

Oil your countertop, turn out the dough, and punch it down a couple of times to remove air. Shape it into a ball and place it on the greased parchment paper. Sprinkle flour on top and cover with the glass baking dish.

Place the bread in the cold oven, then turn the oven on to 400°F (200°C), top and bottom heat, and bake for 45 minutes.

After 25 minutes in the oven, the bread will start to rise.

When the time is up, remove from the oven and carefully take off the glass baking dish (be careful of the steam inside).

Let cool and enjoy this soft and super tender bread!
