Omurice My Way

As a lover of Asian cuisine, I enjoy trying the most common or everyday recipes from Asian countries. However, as a Latina, I like to add my own touch to them, so this is a variation of Japanese omurice.

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

Reheat the leftover shrimp fried rice, adding a bit of ketchup and soy sauce to enhance its flavor.

  2. 2

Meanwhile, beat the eggs and add a dried mushroom cut into pieces. I like large pieces, but you can cut them to your preference.

  3. 3

Add salt and pepper to the eggs.

  4. 4

After reheating the rice, place it on a plate.

  5. 5

Fry the eggs. The Japanese leave the eggs with a soft consistency, but I like them well-cooked. Once cooked, cover the rice with the eggs. Add more ketchup on top and enjoy.

  6. 6

As an extra... I grated a zucchini and microwaved it for 2 minutes, added salt, and used it as decoration. I saved the rest for another recipe.
