It is one the favorite breakfast if Sindhi cuisine and mine too. Crispy pakwaan with tasty dal makes a lovely breakfast for all on any holiday.
Steps

To make pakwaan,make a dough with wheat flour,all purpose flour,sooji,salt,carrom seeds and black pepper powder.

Cover this and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.

To make dal,add dal,water,salt and turmeric powder to a pressure cooker.

Cook it for 2 whistles and then for 3-4 minutes on low flame.

To make pakwaan,take small balls of dough and roll them out thin. Make holes on them with fork so that they don't puff up while frying.

Fry the pakwaan on medium flame till golden brown on both sides.

Take out dal in a bowl and sprinkle some red chilli powder,garam masala powder and dry mango powder on top.

Take ghee in a tadka pan and add asafoetida and cumin seeds. put the tadka on the dal.

Serve the dal pakwaan separately or you can serve them with dal, onions,both chutneys and namkeen on top of the pakwaan.
